Questions we hear every week
Straight answers to the questions owners, COOs, and CFOs ask before they hire an IT partner.
Getting started
What is a free IT Risk Review?
It's a no-obligation review of your IT environment — network health, security posture, backups, and the gaps in between. You get honest findings and recommendations, and there's no pushy sales follow-up.
Is the IT Risk Review really free?
Yes, and it stays free whether or not you become a client. We think you'll see the difference working with us makes; the review is how we earn the conversation.
How fast do you respond to inquiries?
Form submissions are answered within one business day, and the phone at (561) 448-2320 is answered 24/7 for help desk clients. Calling is always the fastest way.
Which areas do you serve?
We support businesses across South Florida (Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Deerfield Beach and surrounding areas), New York (Suffern and Rockland County), and Greenwich CT and the surrounding business area.
Managed IT & support
What's included in managed IT services?
Proactive monitoring and maintenance, 24/7 help desk, patch management, health checks, and vendor coordination — for one predictable flat monthly rate. The full scope is documented in your agreement.
We have our own IT person. Can you work with them?
Yes — co-managed IT is built for that. We provide 24/7 coverage, project capacity, and senior expertise while your team stays yours.
How fast do you respond when something breaks?
Help desk calls are answered 24/7/365 with defined response and resolution targets in your agreement, plus clear escalation for anything that's down.
Do you lock clients into long contracts?
Agreements are straightforward and written in plain English. We're confident you'll stay because the service works — not because the exit is painful. Read the contract section before you sign, and ask us anything.
Security & compliance
What is SIEM and why do we need it?
SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) collects and correlates logs from your systems and alerts on suspicious activity — turning 'we have antivirus' into an actual 24/7 watch over your environment.
Do you make us compliant with HIPAA or PCI?
We help you implement the controls, documentation, and monitoring those frameworks require — we don't claim to certify anyone. Compliance support maps controls to the rules you answer to.
We're a small business. Aren't we too small to be a target?
No — attackers specifically target small businesses because the defenses are thinner. The tools that used to be enterprise-only are now affordable at your size; that's what we deliver.
What happens if we're breached?
You have an incident response plan before the alarm — containment steps, contacts, and a tested restore path so it's a managed event, not a career emergency.
Cloud & M365
Is our Microsoft 365 data backed up?
Not in the way you'd hope. Microsoft protects their platform, not your data from deletion or ransomware. A real backup — which we provide — gives you point-in-time restore of mail, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
How do you control cloud costs?
Rightsizing, reserved capacity where it makes sense, budgets and alerting, and regular reviews. Your cloud spend becomes a known quantity, not a surprise.
Will we go offline during a cloud migration?
That's designed out: phased plans, cutovers outside business hours, and rollback plans so your week isn't disrupted.
What is Azure Virtual Desktop good for?
Giving every user a full Windows desktop in the cloud — work from any device, keep data centralized, and stop buying hardware every few years. It's especially strong for remote and hybrid teams.
Backup & business continuity
How often are backups tested?
On a schedule you agree to, with restores demonstrated. A backup that's never been restored is a hope, not a plan.
What's the difference between RTO and RPO?
RTO is how long you can afford to be down; RPO is how much data you can afford to lose. We set both with you and engineer to meet them — in plain numbers.
Will backups survive ransomware?
When they're architecturally isolated — not sitting on the same network the attacker just encrypted. Ransomware-resistant backup design is standard in what we build.
